Collecting In-Game Items for Pokémon X and Y

by / 0 Comments / 154 View / February 20, 2015

So maybe you’ve used your one in-game Metal Coat and need more to complete your Dex or need more Scizors to trade on the GTS? Well fear not we have a great way to farm for items as quickly and efficiently as possible. In this post we will go over Will Pokémon holding items and Battle Maison strategies that will help you accrue items and update your Pokédex at lightning speed! Here we go!

Wild Pokémon Hold Items

Step 1:

yanma@2x

Obtain a Yanma or any Pokémon with the Compound Eyes ability. With this ability as long as the Pokémon is the lead in your party it increases the chances of a wild Pokémon having an item by 50%. This still applies if the lead Pokémon with this ability has fainted. It’s even better if they are Level 1 that way you can faint them quickly and not have to worry about switching out.

Step 2:

Noivern@2x

Obtain a Pokémon with the ability Frisk and can learn the move Thief. Gothitelle and Noivern both fill this category, however I prefer Noivern as Noibat can be obtained in-game in Terminus Cave at only a few levels away from evolving into Noivern.

The Technical Machine Thief can be found in Camphrier Town from a Punk girl in Cassius’s house.

Step 3:

Search through this list of the potential items you would like to steal from Wild Pokémon and the locations of those Pokémon. Locations in parenthesis.
